Therefore, as of October 1, 2021, it is a legal requirement that Security Guards and Door Supervisors looking to renew their SIA licence must undergo a refresher course.SR Facilities Group offers specific Top-Up Refresher Courses for both roles.
Security Officers - Top-Up (Refresher)
This is a 1-day top-up award course designed to enhance and update your security skills.
However, you must already hold the Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification or equivalent before you can undertake this course. If you don’t hold this qualification, you’ll need to complete the Emergency First Aid at Work training on the first day of the refresher course. An additional fee for the First Aid course will be applicable.
Door Supervisors - Top-Up (Refresher)
This top-up award course lasts for 2 days, during which we revisit the essential skills needed by Door Supervisors and introduce any new regulations or practices that have been implemented since your last training.
As with the Security Officers course, you must hold a Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification or equivalent to take this refresher course. If you don’t currently hold this qualification, you will need to complete the Emergency First Aid at Work training on the first day of the course. An additional First Aid course fee will be payable.
